Mason-Dixon Forestry was founded in January of 2008.  Matt Ross founder and owner of Mason-Dixon Forestry, has over nine years of forestry experience.  Having worked in the Forest Products industry as a procurement forester, buying saw logs and standing timber, his knowledge of timber markets and pricing is exceeded only by his ability to market timber sales.  Matt has supervised private timber purchases for a small family owned sawmill (2000-2003) and for one of the largest saw mills on the east coast (2004-2008).  This diverse experience gives him and his staff a unique insight on working with landowners of the smallest tracts of timber to the largest of tracts. 

Matt Ross graduated from Allegany College of Maryland with a degree in Forest Technology in December 1998.  He is a certified Maryland Master Logger and has Pennsylvania SFI certification.  Matt has gone above his required education to ensure that his knowledge and ability provide you the landowner, a stress free transaction.
